"I was drawn to medicine late in my undergraduate studies when a friend introduced me to the field of physician assistants (PA). The more I read about this career path, the more I felt this profession was the perfect balance between helping people and having a family. Growing up in a rural area, my goal was always to return home and provide the best care possible to underserved communities. Thankfully, I have been able to practice in the community where I have lived most of my life."
