"I chose Psychiatry because I am fascinated by the complexity of the mind. Mental illness is one of the most misunderstood, undertreated, and stigmatized health issues I have seen in the many years that I have practiced in the health care field. I want to help bridge that gap and offer compassionate care to those who otherwise would be suffering in silence. I find psychiatry to be both rewarding and challenging which drives me to continue learning and fulfilling my purpose in life."
